for a weight loss guide? Have you ever seen ads like Lose
Weight Fast, Quick Weight Loss, Lose Weight Effortlessly, and
Easy Weight Loss? Wouldn’t that be Great! Of course if there
were such a thing, there wouldn’t be so many obese people today
looking for one diet program after another.
It's Getting BadOver 60% of people in the US are
considered obese by today’s standards. With all the problems
and diseases that being obese leads to, I think it’s safe to
say that we’re in the middle of an epidemic. One of those
diseases is diabetes, but it can be avoided. Weight loss is the
key to proper blood glucose control. Blood glucose that is poorly managed, leads
to diabetes.
Many people are so desperate to lose weight,
they’ll try any weight loss guide that is presented to them.
The diet industry loves these people because they make billions
of dollars on them every year. What can you do if you want easy
weight loss?
Diet ProgramsThere are many diet programs out there.
One weight loss guide may be better than another, but
there’s a couple of things they don’t tell you with these
programs.
First, they don’t tell you that you’re going to
have to make a lifestyle change to keep the weight off. Most
people think that they only have to eat like that till they
lose some weight. Then they go back to eating the same way that
got them that way plus gain even more. They don’t realize they
have to develop a healthy eating plan.
Just Get Moving
The second thing they don’t tell you is that
you need to move around. You’re not going to burn any calories
sitting on the couch playing video games. Some of you may say,
“I’ll just take some of those fat burners, so I won’t have to
exercise to burn fat.” Fat burners will help you to a certain
extent, but your best bet will be to start moving. I know
that’s hard for a lot of people, but it’s something you’ve got
to do.
You can get started slowly and build yourself up. You don’t
need to go to the gym on your first day and run an hour on the
treadmill. Start by just trying to walk down to the end of your
driveway and build up from there. Don’t be ashamed if you can’t
do much at first, everyone has to start somewhere.
Keep Your Eye on the PrizeIf you’re like most people
at some point you’re going to lose focus. It’s a good idea to
have a buddy you can contact while you’re going through this.
When you do start to lose focus and before you pick up that
pint of ice cream, contact your buddy and they’ll help you
though that tough time. Just remember there’s always good times
(when you feel good about yourself) on the other side of that
tough time.
So if you can find a weight loss guide you feel
will work for you, go for it! Just don’t get overwhelmed and
take it one small step at a time. Remember Rome wasn’t built in
a day and it probably took you a long time to get the way you
are. If you fall off the wagon one day that’s ok because
tomorrow is another day. All you need to do is get back on.
Don’t let one bad day ruin your life.
