I want to start this out by saying the best exercise for quick workouts is an exercise that you are going to enjoy doing. I could tell you that weight lifting is the best way to build muscle and increase stamina, but if you hate lifting weights then weight lifting is of little benefit to you. With that being said I want to go over some recommendations for different exercises for weight loss and a few quick ones to help you get fit and healthy.

Simple Guidelines

There are three simple guidelines that you need to follow when choosing the exercise for weight loss that best suits you. The exercise needs to be something that you are going to enjoy. This exercise also needs to be an activity that you are going to be able to do for at least 30 minutes. As our last requirement the exercise has to make you break a sweat. That should pretty much rule out anything that is sedentary. You need to get up and move, be active in order to be fit and healthy.

For Beginners, the best types of activities that will help you lose weight the quickest are the ones that get you moving. This includes walking, running, jogging, swimming, bicycling, aerobics, pilates and yoga. One of those activities I am sure you will enjoy and that would be the one you would pick as your exercise for weight loss.

Including Short Bursts In Your Workout

You may even want to incorporate a little interval traininginto your day. Interval training is nothing more then doing an activity really hard and fast for a certain amount of time and then doing the same activity at a slower, less intense pace. An example would be to run for two minutes and then walk for two minutes. This is a quick workout trick, because interval training should not last longer then 20 minutes but should at least be 10 minutes. If you are at work do the stairs on your break. Walking or jogging up the stairs, going up is the hard part and coming down is the easy part.

Your exercise for weight loss shouldn’t feel like exercise, it is really just you getting up and moving. Being active is the key. Whether you are playing 18 holes, raking and mowing your yard, or even house and yard work, they all can be quick workouts to help you lose weight. Don’t get boggled down by making sure that you are following what the latest fitness magazine says is the best way to lose weight. Just make sure that you are meeting the three simple guidelines for exercise for weight loss.

Activity and movement are the key to your being fit, happy and healthy. Find your right exercise for weight loss and get moving!
