Liver Cleanse
For a Healthier Life
A liver cleanse is important for a healthy body because our liver is
responsible for removing toxins and other dangerous substances from our
body. The liver does this by producing bile, the bile then binds the
toxins and poisons to move then out of the body.
Toxins
In Our BodyWe
ingest so many toxins, hormones, metals, preservatives and other
unhealthy chemicals that are in our food, the air we breathe and the
water we drink that it gets harder and harder for our liver to function
properly. Improper functioning of the liver can lead to damage, and a
damaged liver can lead to serious illness including death. While
we
can’t stop living, and even if we try to live the purest life possible
with organic foods and drinks we still live in the same environment.
What we can do to help improve our liver function is to do a liver
cleanse. You can do this at home, although it is a little different
than a normal
detox
diet. Here you will find one of the most popular methods created by Dr.
Hulda author of the book The Cure for all Diseases.
The MethodYou
will need Extra Virgin olive oils, a large grapefruit or 3 lemons, and
Epsom salt. It is recommended that you start your liver detox on a
Saturday so that you can have at least one day you are able to rest and
take it easy. You will not want to take any vitamins or pills during
your liver cleanse. (Important only stop the medications, pills,
vitamins that are not vital to your life. Blood pressure pills, heart
medication, diabetic pills are necessities and therefore should be
taken.)Have a no fat breakfast. You shouldn’t eat after 2pm on
the
first day of your cleanse. At 2pm, you will mix 4 tbsp of Epsom salt in
3 cups of water and pour it into a jar and put it in the refrigerator.
At 6pm you will drink ¾ cup of the mixture, then get the olive oil and
grapefruit out to warm them up. You will again drink another ¾ cup at 8
pm. Remember you have not eaten since before 2 pm, but you will not be
hungry. At 9:45pm pour ½ cup olive oil into a pint
jar, wash
the grapefruit in hot water and dry it. Squeeze it by hand into the
measuring cup, remove pulp. You should have ½ to ¾ cup. Add this to the
olive oil. At 10 pm drink this mixture. When you
wake up in the
morning drink another ¾ cup of the original mixture but not before 6
am, and again 2 hours later and you have completed your liver cleanse.
Dr. Hulda recommends taking it easy and resting as much as possible as
the liver cleanse does its job and removes any gallstones. Timing
is critical when you are doing this method of liver cleansing, so be
sure not to vary more than 5 minutes. Remember when in doubt about
whether you should do this always seek the advice of your alternative
medicine physician .
